since it restarted last time, all my league news seems to have been erased (still in player histories, etc. though) for some reason computer has taken over team I control even though it is set as human manager. I cannot offer any available personnel contracts, and when I click on team personnel game crashes, why is this game so buggy for only me?

OOTP should not be causing your computer to restart itself. It sounds like you have some other issues going on.

Could you outline the specs on your pc? Processor speed, memory, operating system? Do you have any other programs open while running OOTP?

I would scan for viruses and scan your hard drive for errors. Then try running the game again.

I constantly have AVG scan, and I believe this is a problem with OOTP and not my PC as this only happens with OOTP and I have no other problems with my PC

Maybe there is an error on your hard drive where OOTP is stored. Could you please scan your hard drive for errors as f.montoya suggested? Thanks.

Open My computer and right click on Drive C and select Properties, Tools and you'll see it there.

What exactly happens when your computer restarts? One moment it's on, then the next the power is off? Are there any error messages or warnings?

Could your computer possibly be overheating? I know that some setups allow you to have your computer turn off if they get dangerously hot.

Screen turns black when I quite, then I see parts of desktop for split second then it restarts (goes black and turns on again)

PC is consistnelty 85-95 degrees, not overheating, I also have no problem running football manager so don't know why one would work and the other wouldnt

After testing around during a conversation on AIM, disabling FaceGen will cause his computer restarts to stop when he closes the program. He's trying to download the latest drivers for his video card at the moment.

He has a Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT, which is on the list of video cards found to have worked with FaceGen.

I realize this is two weeks down the road, but if you're still having rebooting issues, you might want to disable Windows' automatic BSOD restart:

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System (Windows+Pause works, too)
2. Go to Advanced
3. Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
4. Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"

Or you could always look in the Event Logs, since BSODs get logged there, too. However, it may help narrow down the issue.
