Change the 'Save to' directory

I installed the demo to my new external hard drive (F: in my configuration) so as to keep all the saved games on the new drive and conserve space on C:

However, the game is saving to C:/Documents/Sports Interactive/OOTP Baseball 2007

When I go to settings within OOTP 2007, the F: drive is listed. So there's nothing to change, unfortunately.

How do I get OOTP to save to the F: drive?

Not saving to F: is a deal breaker for me, I'm afraid.

When you say you're going into the settings, are you viewing the Custom User Data Path within Preferences?

Exactly so.

Despite moving everything there as the manual instructed, the game wants me to reinstall it, saying it can't follow the path.

Per a post I found in the beta archives, please try adding a "\data" folder to your Custom User Data Path (so if it's "F:\ootp" change it to "F:\ootp\data"), close OOTP, and then move your data files to this directory (creating it if necessary) and restart OOTP.

After i reinstalled, I changed the directory much like you suggested and that worked fine. I did this before I started my first game, that is, changed directory to "F:Out of the Park Baseball 2007/data" and then exited OOTP. When I started up, the directory was correct and then the game saved and restarted correctly.
