Commish Password Problem

So I just went to add a new owner to as a manager of a team and I got a message telling me the commish password is wrong. Now, I just simmed today at noon with no issue. I certainly don't remember changing it. So what's going on and how do I correct this?

The problem is that the password is encrypted.

But I'm not in a position to solve these problems. I have ways of doing it but its not something that I will divulge as it the risk downside is too great.

Brian, do you possibly have multiple commissioners in your league?

Can you log in as the commissioner when you fire up the game, or is that hosed now too?

No, I'm the only one running it. I can log in using my GM password but not using the commish one. Now, it keeps me logged in as commish as long as I don't try to put in the commish password. I could in theory sim but I can't do things liek change who runs what team, etc.

How about going to the Manager Option screen and using the password reset option?

Or, disable the password entirely, temporarily?

Personally, I would recommend making a backup of your league before we start messing around with it. I'd hate to fix the password and hose your league!

Well, I Have tried resetting the commish password but when I try it asks for the current commish password. I also tried disabling it but doing so just resulted in it still being there and unknown when I re-enabled it. I have a back up file. It is an online league and so I loaded a full file up to the site

I have to give Stunt Bum credit, this is an excellent ruse to cover up his flagrant cheating. Thanks for ruining my OOTP experience.

Yup- there was some sort of very strange quick closing on the Commish Password entry.

Somehow I got into a Commish setup- setup a new COmmissioner, changed the Commish password, and now it's golden.

I think I've noticed that as well. It requires you to click on the OK button rather than pressing return (or maybe that's just me typing things wrong)

Although I know how to, I will not under any circumstances ever change a commish password to nothing if asked (not even for $1,000,000 - paypal deposits preferred

)
