Some issues I've noticed with the new patch

Here are some game features that were working correctly before the new patch (AKA Patch#3), but now don't appear to work, or at least work differently. Before these are logged as bugs I'd like some confirmation from other users that are experiencing the same issues.

- Rename team exports: The new patch appeared to reset this to just overwrite the old exports, and when I change this (in both game preferences and in the Commish portal) it does not work and appears to reset itself back to just overwriting the old exports. If my observations are accurate this is not a game stopper obviously but it does somewhat lesson the benefits of this Commish Portal feature.
- Withdrawing free agent contract offers: I've had 2 owners mention this one but I have not confirmed this myself yet. They are saying that their withdraw contract offers instructions have been ignored by the game on multiple off season sims. I don't think withdrawing offers occurs that often otherwise I'd wonder why it's only been reported by 2 owners. For my part I can confirm their exports were there and they were imported.
- Auto resigning of players that have more than the minimum salary. I have not studied this closely to see exactly why this happened, but I know it's a new result that was not there before the latest patch. Previously younger players on minimum salary contracts (in my league this is $300K) were 'auto-renewed' at that same salary, now I see several auto-renewed deals for higher contracts, almost as if arbitration determined the auto renewal, but arbitration is turned off in our league. Curious, no?

If anyone else notices some similar observations I'd appreciate it if you posted here to confirm that these are in fact new issues related to the last patch - thanks.

Also, Commish Portal checkboxes: If you uncheck them, then recheck them the game does not appear to save the setting. That means if I want to upload HTML only and uncheck 'create & upload league file', then I can't recheck that option. To clarify, I can recheck, but the game no longer saves that selection. This is likely related to the Commish Portal 'rename export files' issue listed above.

More on the withdrawing free agent offers issue, a description of the issue from someone in a different online league than I am:

"It's been noted that 'withdrawing an offer' to a FA only works in the same SIM in which you make the offer. Once a SIM has been run, the game ignores withdrawals. It's either a feature or a bug."

More on Commish Portal check-boxes: These are now officially buggy as hell. HTML archives are uploaded only 50% of the time regardless of what the status report says, and the 'rename exports' feature only works if you reselect it right before you do your imports.

Again, these are post patch #3 issues that were not there before the patch.

Also buggy but maybe still un-fixed bugs from before patch #3:
- The generated schedule all star game was on the same day as regular season games and I was not able to re-schedule it.
- The rookie draft pool did not generate on the day it was supposed to according to our league file settings (75 days before June 12th). It looks like many league file settings are ignored except at certain points in the season (like end of month media contract re-calculations), and maybe this draft pool issue is related to that part of the game design.

Killebrew,

I'm just bumping this thread so that other people can read it and comment on these problems. There was another report of the withdrawn offer player still signing. I'm going to check on Bugzilla if it is logged.

I've lost track of when OOTP8 came out. Are you using 2007 or 8?

I've linked to this thread in hopes that the on-line beta team looks out for these issues in the new game. Closing this one out.
