Scouting issue

Hi running into a new issue with Scouts, midway through the season I fired my couching staff and hired new ones. However 2 of the 4 new scouts I have will not let me do any anything with them, on their profile page they show as being on another team, even though on my roster they're shown as being my scouts. When I try to assign tasks, I'm told I cant give tasks to other teams coaches. I can't fire them or anything so they just sit there and take up spots. I have found that I can backdoor them into scouting by going to another team page, and selecting scout org from there. However that only seems to last for a day and then disappears.

Background info:

- Playing a season with Cubbyfan's rosters
- Had scouting turned off to start, now turned on.
- Have tried and encountered the issue
both with commish on and off.
- Definitely managing my team, instead of "acting as"

I'm open to anything, tried to manually edit them (couldn't find the option) or fire them, etc.

Which version of the game are you using, please?

Is the team they're showing up against an actual team or a team that doesn't exist 'visibly' in your game?

Version 8.0.0.13

Both an actual and not a visible one. Basically, using Cubbyfan's sets and playing as the Dodgers. As there were pretty good scouts available, I fired my current staff and hired 5 new ones. Of the five only two are having issues:

Masashige Abe (Shows as being part of the Red Sox)
Elliot Arnold (shows as being part of Virginia Tech Hokies - NCAA) Although NCAA actually isn't part of my league....

Also, of the three that are currently not having issues, only one of them shows the Dodgers as their team. The other two show NCAA.

Going to the Manager home page and selecting "Show Coaches/Scouts" shows all five of them on my team in the personnel listing.

I am having the same exact problem.

Seemed any scout I hired that was previously working with an NCAA team sort of stays with that school. They show up in my personnel page as employed by me - but when I click on them they show the schools logo etc and I am unable to assign tasks to them.

This sucks cause I just noticed this 5 days before my draft so I am basically screwed as I have no scouting department.

So if this issue isnt fixable, is there a way to force fire the scouts or edit them so that I can at least get my two scout spots back?

Never did, turned off scouting since it seemed as waste as I couldnt use all of my scouts. Sucks to miss out on that part of the game.

Scouting is being revised for the next version of the game, and I'm certain that this will no longer be applicable, so I'm closing it out.
