Mac- Requires Internet Connection

I found a similar post under the closed issue area - but there didn't seem to be any real resolution. This issue is a huge problem for me. I purchased the game mainly to play on my 90 minute train commute - where I don't have an internet connection. This version was only 6 or 7 bucks because I am a long standing customer.... but I will not buy another version that has the same oppressive anti-piracy routine.

Yeah, the Mac version of the game requires a internet connection. It is well known that this is very inconvenient for many users, and I'm sorry that you are frustrated with it. I do know that they are working to eliminate that requirement for the next version of the game.

Is there anything else that I can help you with?

The work around I have been using is to load the game up at the office before I leave with a connection and then put the laptop to sleep. If the game is already running, there are no problems.

The main point that I was trying to make, is that I shouldn't have to come up with work arounds to play a game that I purchased. This type of copy protection only harms your loyal paying customers... I also wanted to make sure that the OOTP team recieved feedback about the issue so that they would make it priority to fix in the next release.
