Historical League Crashes every time

I've seen some other threads in here that talk about people's game crashing everytime but mines a little different.

I've played a regular game or whatever but whenever I try and import a historical league (doesnt matter what year I try) it always gives me an error message and I cant go any further. This is for OOTP8 which I just recently bought. I was told I didnt need a Lehman file for this version and that it was already in the game.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help you can offer.

I've probably tried 10 times to do a historical league and it continues to not work. I dont get it.

Okay I got it to work. I stopped clicking import complete history and it started working.

I'm having this same problem, whether I try to import complete history or not. And I do want the complete history.

Does my lahman master.csv have to be in a certain directory? Not sure why that would matter; mine happens to be on a different drive.

The game requires a fairly powerful computer to allow you to properly import complete history.

Whizkid, I don't know off-hand if the file needs to be in a particular directory, but could you try moving it to the same drive as the rest of your OOTP files, just to be sure?

Thanks for the reply, Nutlaw. Yes, I tried that but got the same result. I guess I need to uninstall/reinstall the game, but rather than go through the hassle I guess I'll wait until 2009 arrives and start my historical league then.
