Game crashing Wwhenever I try to start first-year player draft

Hey folks, I searched for this problem and didn't see it in Technical Support, so I'm posting it. I started my league at the beginning of the 2007 season and played from there. I've encountered problems but have always found fixes by searching Technical Support (most notably, I have scouting and coaching turned off because of my coaches and scouts belonging to other teams and not being able to fire them or use them as scouts, a bad bug that I'm hoping will be fixed for ootp 9). This time, no dice. I was in the middle of my 2028 first-year player draft when the electricity went out, when I went back into the game I was able to replay the games I lost up to the player draft. I then went into the draft screen and clicked on "continue draft" and the game crashed, giving me one of those "ootp8.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" messages from Microsoft. I tried pushing back the draft a day, changing the order, and changing my Rookie League roster limits to unlimited but it still happens every time when I click on "continue draft," never actually making it to that screen.

Version: 8.0.0.13
PC/MAC: PC
What were you doing? Trying to conduct first-year player draft.
What happened? When I clicked "continue draft" the game crashed.
Reproducible? Yes, it happens every time I take this action
Problem occurs with other leagues? I have no other leagues

I have a league with a Major League level, AAA, AA, A, SSA, RL and feeder leagues of HS and College

I tried starting a new league with an inaugural draft and the same problem happened, so it isn't just the one league.

I also uninstalled and reinstalled the game after I figured out it was the whole game and not just the one league. I don't know if I did everything I was supposed to do with the uninstallation but the problem persists.

Well, after some searching I found a similar problem http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ial-draft.html and after some trials similar to what the original thread starter went through I had the same positive outcome. In my searching I think I even figured out what happened with my coaches and scouts (I created an extra major league by mistake and hastily deleted it). Anyway, I'm very pleased and just wanted to thank Endgame and Kelric for having that conversation and say "false alarm."

(got a little carried away with the smilies there)
