Newbie - Game Crashes in the 2nd or 3rd Inning When I Try to Play a Game
I just purchased OOTP 8.0 a few hours ago and I have been playing with it. I looked around, started my own league and I am the proud Manager of the Mississippi Braves. Anyway, it is Opening Day and I am getting ready to play my first game and...CRASH...
The game keeps crashing after the 2nd or 3rd inning of my very first game. This is a new thing for me because my computer has never really crashed before. So what is wrong? After reading so many good things about this game I guess I just don't believe it is this unstable. I am running version 8.13, at least that is what it says on the opening screen. My computer runs Windows XP, I have 14 GB of hard drive space free. I have about 1 GB of RAM. I am really confused...please help. I want to like this game! |

What type of league did you start? A fictional one or an MLB-based one? How many leagues and teams did you include in it?
Can you try playing out a different game that day to see if that also crashes your computer? Can you try making a backup of your .lg saved game folder and simming ahead a few months without playing out any games to see if that causes a crash? |

Actually, it is a MLB based league. I am coaching a Double A team and every time I start a game it freezes in the first few innings. Now, one thing, right as it freezes and crashes, I notice that my players lineup changes for some unknown reason...and then CRASH. So...any advice or is this game just a no go?
