Non-English Character Compatibility On Macs
Sigh.
This is not, in fact, fixed. The in-game stuff is, but you cannot enter a team city or nickname with special characters like you can on the PC. e.g. Bogota cannot be input as Bogotá Bummer. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...lity-macs.html A Lot of Unresolved/Unanswered Mac Issues |

Hi, enuttage,
Where specifically are you finding this issue? I just tried typing in "Bogotá" as a city name in the Names & Affiliations tab of the Create New Game screen, for example, and it works there. If you can let us know where you found this problem, it will help us track down the places it still exists. Thanks.

Perhaps part of the problem is that I have an American English keyboard, and copy and paste does not work.
How are you typing the á? Thanks for the quick return reply, OD. |

The accent on the a can be typed by hitting the option key and then "e". For example, "Bogotá" would be B-o-g-o-t-(option)-e-a. There are a few other diacritic marks that work like that, too. "¨" is option-u. For example, "ö" would be (option)-u-o. What others do you want to use? I'll see if I can find out how to type them.

I was holding down the option and the 'e' while typing 'a' instead of letting off and then typing 'a'.
Thanks guys. Looks like this is working, as long as you don't try and cut and paste. That's still a no go. Regardless, I'm happy and I appreciate the quick resolution. |
