Historical League Stats not resetting

I'm doing a historical league in OOTP9 and the numbers (HRs, Wins, etc) are all set at that years' levels and then are just being added to the top as the season progresses. So for example, I'm starting 1992 with Juan Gonzalez having 43 HR and Cecil Fielder with 124 RBIs and as the season progresses, those numbers are getting added to.

Did you click the option that says "Keep this season's stats in player's career stats" and then put the starting year back one year?
