Crash on Game Creation

I've had this crash twice now. The first time I created a fictional league in advanced mode. After creating a manager, the game crashed when creating the league. The second time I used the wizard and again the game crashed while creating the league. Both times all data and selections were lost.

This is my first experience with OOTP baseball and I must say I'm disappointed that I can't even see what the game looks like in action.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having troubles so far, cybrbart. I'm fairly sure that we can help you work through them, however.

Could you please share with us your operating system and RAM? Also, how many teams and leagues were you trying to create in your new saved game universe? Could you please try creating a simple universe with only one 16-team league to see what happens then?

XP with Service Pack 2, 2 gigs of RAM, 130 gigs free on C drive. I was attempting to create a 16 team league with minors. Just tried it again without minors (16 teams) and it crashed again.

UPDATE!

I tried the quick start to create a 2008 MLB league and I got the same crash as the game was creating the league. So this morning when I got home from work I reinstalled the game and so far it seems to be working. I created a fictional 16 team league with no minors just to test it and it worked! I'll give it a more thorough testing later and let you know if I have any problems.

As there hasn't been an update on any problems in the last 3 days and the OP has said the game has started ok, this thread will be closed. If any further problems occur, please start a new thread in Technical Support.
