Expected Role: Everyone wants to be in bullpen
Something I just noticed in my game using the ABA quick start, all 5 of my starting pitchers have an expected role of bullpen. While I can understand one of them (endurance of 58) there are two of them who are stars of the league and have endurances in the 70's and 80's.
Not a big thing (it's not affecting their morale) but something to look into. |

Is this when the league first started? There's no stats or history? If that's the case, then the players really don't know what their roles should be. They haven't accrued any innings. I'm not sure if the expected roles are just based on ratings, playing time or other players on the team.
Either way, sim ahead for a few years and see if that's still the case. |

Well I checked on some other teams and generally there's only 1 or 2 players whose expected role is starting rotation. I'm two months into the game (I like to play out each game so it'll be awhile before I'm years into this)
like I said it's not a big thing as long as it doesn't affect player's morale but I think there's certainly something going on as I've never seen this happen in previous versions. And just for reference, on the MLB quickstart game I started, everyone's expected role is right in line with what you'd expect (i.e. higher endurance want to be starters, etc.) |
