BZ 1465: Double Bat Crack on Foul Balls

In pitch-by-pitch mode, I'm frequently getting double bat cracks on foul balls; one immediately after pressing pitch, and a second one at the end of the play-by-play text. It doesn't happen in all situations, but I'm guessing it's an 80% of the time occurrence. Not exactly life-stopping, but mildly annoying and trance-breaking. This is with the latest version of the game, released Wednesday, on a PC laptop, playing the MLB quickstart. I've played out three games, and it's happened in each of them.

I should add that the same bug exists when I bat in pitch-by-pitch mode.

What were you doing? Playing out pitch by pitch games in the pre-set ABA quick-start league.
What happened? Every time a ball is fouled off, there are two "hit" sounds as follows: the first hit sound occurs almost instantly after pushing the "1" pitch command (with mouse or keyboard), then the play by play text and ball flight seems to hang for a short pause; then the text and foul ball flight continue with another (second) hit sound.
Reproducible? Yes, at least it happens on every foul ball occurrence.
Problem occurs with other leagues? Same problem exists when trying the NABA quick-start league.

This occurs in games that I play out (as manager) in my fictional league but doesn't seem to happen if I'm merely watching the action between two AI controlled teams.
