BZ 1574: Clicking New Custom Game Crashes Game

It loads world database, then does "Loading Last Names Database" and then I get a pop-up -

The title says Out of the Park Baseball 9: ootp.exe - Application Error

The message is
The exception integer division by zero.
(0xc0000094) occurred in the application at location 0x00a69fe8.

Click OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program.

I'm running the game on XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 2

I've tried rebooting and get the same results/error every time.

have you ever gotten the game to run yet?

I'd suggest that you uninstall the game, redownload the file and reinstall OOTP and see if that works.

I have had the same or similar issue, using Vista 64 bit. Now I cannot create or open any leagues without crashing. The game is currently unplayable.

try uninstalling then re-installing

I have not modified the names.txt file, and I haven't added or changed any players names.

4MG RAM.
A google search shows error c0000094 may be a division by 0 error, so a guess is the problem lies when player stats are being compiled by the software.

This will give more info to Markus as to what's going on and where exactly it is.

I have been told that this can't be addressed without any affected league files. If someone does come this problem again, please FTP us a zipped copy of your .dat files and let us know the filename per the following instructions:

I received the same error and app crash. I uploaded the affected zipped league dat files (c0000094game20.lg.zip).
The crash occurred when, 2 days after offseason began after 2nd year, I clicked on the 'ask ai to adjust roster' or whatever it says on the manager home page, I can't start the app to see. The app and system froze.

The developers report that this still works fine for them. Maybe give it a shot after the next patch is released?

I have had a recurrence of this c0000094 error, with the latest patch installed.

Can you try going in and deleting your OOTP 9 folder found within the Application Data folder?
