online league database not loading

So i signed up to be in an online league and have created the folder with the .lg at the end, and extrated the file of the league to that folder. It loads up to a point and then gives me this error message.

It says "database load- could not load the world file" and then when i click ok it says. "the database load failed. It is either a corrupt file or a saved game from an old version".

Any suggestions?

make sure you haven't created a .lg file inside of another .lg file. Also, what did you use to extract?

ok so what I did was

Went to saved games folder, opened it up.
Created a folder called FOOL.LG (the leagues name)

Downloaded the leagues file and extracted it to the folder (fool.lg)

Open up the game then went to the load league button click on FOOL and it starts to load up. It stops when its almost done and then gives me the error message from above.

Is what I did correct?

I am also having a problem with loading an online league. I followed the steps in one of the earlier threads that suggested copying over the .dat files and that seemed to work, however when I tested loading the league files from the site, it gets hung up on the names and doesn't pass 16%.
