BZ 1567: Player Search By Name

When performing a player search by using either the player's last name or first name, I get no results. I have double checked that I am including all players. I have also tried searching by common names like Bob and Tom and received no results. As soon as I clear the filter everyone appears.

If I search by position ratings the player is on the last.

Do you get the same result if you put their first name/surname in the search box on the title bar (next to the help icon)?

This seems OK. I didn't even realize that this existed.

However, the regular filter does not.

What type of league are you running?

Can you start a new fictional league and see if you can search by first name. I can't replicate your problem at the moment.

I am playing a historical league. I have 3 other historical leagues going and the same problem exists.

I just created a new fictional league. Went thru the inaugural draft then tried the search. No results were found and I was sure to look up a couple of players to ensure the exist.

I'm confused. Are you using the search box at the top of the screen?

No. I am trying to use the Filter. Using the name (either first or last) as the attribute.

As I stated earlier, I have tried clearing the filter and then re-doing the search and I still get no results. The filter appears to be working OK for other attributes like position ratings, age, etc.

The name is the only attribute that I am using. This worked in OOTP 8 and 2007.

I have installed the patch and the problem still exists.

When searching for a player and use the filters "last name" or "first name" there are no results displayed.

Also when using the filter "nickname", the game crashes and exits.

Can you zip up your league files and FTP them up to the FTP site as detailed in the "How to FTP your files to us" thread.
