Great question, I just checked that out. Real mixed bag, not sure what is going to happen to this guy in the end.
1) Currently he shows up only on the AAA Giants. I cannot remember this player ever leaving the Giants, I've been kinda watching him as he is rated in the Top 100 prospects. 2) However, based on stats below he has also played for the Dodgers minor league teams SA, A and AA at some point in time during the season. (Seems impossible). |

Trying to sign my own pitcher
A reliever on my own Class A team named Tim Thompson was found and presented a player I might like to sign. I've already turned off scouting once and turned it back on. I really don't want to turn it off again because scouting presents players subjectively and that's more realistic.

Confirmed
This definitely a problem with hidden players. I just received notice that my scout found a previously unknown player. (See attached)
I checked his profile and noticed that he seemed to be a current MLB player. (See attached) Then looked at his history - no mention of him leaving his current team. (See Attached) Then noticed the hole in his former teams lineup LoL!!! (See Attached) Do the devs need anything from me on this bug? Ray |

The developers have marked this as something that cannot be reproduced. However, given the large number of reports of this behavior, I am certain that it can. It must only happen with certain settings enabled. Can anyone with this problem please share any relevant settings?

Not sure exactly what settings you want but here are some I'm using.
This is a real issue, however, it does not happen every single day and you must be on the lookout for it which involves lots of researching of all the teams as it only happens to a very few players. If it happens to be one of your star players (or another teams) it's a big deal though! |

I thought this was taken care of
I signed a free agent via my scout. His name is irrelevant. Just before the All Star break, he disappeared from my team. I found him on another team signed as a free agent. Yes, I am using version 9.16. I had to force a trade with that team in order to get him back. I have to tell you, this is irritating.

Since you sent your files, what is the name of the player and did you include his player history? |

When you say that you signed a free agent via your scout, you mean that your scout discovered a hidden player, reported him to you, then you signed him?
Yes. That is what I meant. Also, damn.... I had to uoload another league file - nbl.zip. The transaction I was talking about is in that league, one I didn't upload the first time. The player's name is Filippo Giovannoni. I signed him, used him in my lineup and then another team drafted him. I traded him at year's end. hope this helps. |
