BZ 1046: Hit by pitch ejection bug

So I had Jason Giambi get hit by a pitch, and he charged the mound, and the text said he and the pitcher, Daniel Cabrera, were ejected. The game proceeded to the next batter without either of them leaving the game.

its been brought to Markus' attention, did both teams have an available substituion?

The same thing happened to me. I had Carlos Zambrano hit 12 players in one game. Eventually there was a fight and Z and the batter were both tossed. However, both remained in the game. There was a full bench available for both teams. I was testing the system (obviously). Normally, after 2 or 3 batters, the pitcher would have been tossed even without a fight.

have you (both) seen an in-game ejection accurately remove the batter and pitcher?

Both teams had available substitutions; this is the only time so far I experienced a player supposedly being ejected.

Just happened to me, too.

My Mets routing the Phils 14-5, Nick Johnson hits a grand slam in the bottom of the 8th to make it 18-5, David Wright steps up and David Riske nails him.

Brawl ensues, both players ejected, David Wright then goes to first, and Riske stays in the game as well.

Yes, there were available subs on both sides at the time.

I've noted this thread while reopening BZ#1046 on the subject. Hopefully a mod sees this thread and moves it to the Tech Support forum.

Just happened to me too - again, plenty of subs on the bench. No mention of the ejections anywhere in the box score or play-by-play.

Never had a fight even though I purposely hit 4 batters in a 2 inning spell with the same pitcher.

Same thing has happened to me. Hitter gets beaned, charges mound, brawl ensues, pitcher and batter ejected, both stay in game even though there are plenty of bench options.

Bump - can we get this moved to tech support? Hopefully this fix can be included in Patch 2 if we get it seen soon enough.

This issue was claimed fixed for the upcoming patch. If you still have trouble with this matter after patching, please post a link to this thread along with a detailed explanation of what happened and we will re-open this report. Thanks.
