Illegal Number of Players on the Active Roster error

I am in my 3rd season and I am getting an error stating that team x has too few players. I added a manager for that team and auto filled all rosters and resigned. It worked for a while. Then it happened on my team. I went in and auto filled all rosters and lineups. Then it worked fine for a while. Then the error came up again with the first team. Bug? Or what am I doing wrong?

Do you have allow AI changes turned off?
How many rounds is your draft and how many rounds worth of players do you create for the draft?
How many levels of minor leagues are you running with?

I'm not sure. I didn't change anything when I started my league. Did the 2008 MLB option.

The drafts are 30 rounds I think. I don't create any players. How would I do that?

If its the 2008 MLB default league from the first patch then the AI and many other options are turned off by default. Go back through the settings and turn things on that you'd normally have on (including the AI's ability to change rosters) and it may fix the problem.

It seems to work now. You know what? I have a sneaking suspicion that the fact that no other teams made deals had a lot to do with me winning 116 games in year two.
