Patch 1 MLB quickstart 40man roster problem

I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled the new patch, and decided to begin a new game as the Pirates in MLB, using the quickstart.

I noticed that the 40 man roster is turned off, as are waivers. So I turned on the 40 man roster, and enabled waivers, all fine.

But noone seems to use the 40 man roster, and no players thoughout the league have the * denoting they're on the 40 man list. I assume this is a bug, although if it's me being dumb please tell me how to fix it!

Can you go to Game Setup, and then League Setup, make sure the MLB is chosen on the left, and then on the function button at the bottom right click "Set all computer controlled teams to allow AI roster changes"

Then sim one day, and you should find the 40 man rosters filled.
