CPU Teams aren't using the DL properly
Not sure if this is a bug, or whether I just need to edit an option. But I just played through a 2008 season using the MLB quick start option. I did end up going through and changing some of the settings, such as activating the secondary rosters option, but didn't mess with anything else.
But then at the end of the season I found that there were 13 SPs making more than 40 starts per season and 4 making more than 50 starts. The Phillies were particularly grievous as Brett Myers and Adam Eaton both had 52 starts. So I looked in their roster to see what was up, and saw that 2 of their other SPs had gotten injured, but instead of placing them on the DL, the CPU just kept throwing the healthy SPs out there. I also saw that the CPU never took Brad Lidge off the DL once he got healthy. So I looked through several other teams' rosters and it became clear that they weren't putting injured players and the DL and they weren't taking players off the DL once they were healthy. Did this happen because of a setting I tweaked? Has anyone else run into this issue? Oh, this was while running the most recent version of OOTP9. Edit: Just tried running a quick simulation again, default settings using the MLB quick start and the same issue repeated. Teams aren't using the DL at all. one of the settings that is incorrect after the patch is that AI teams won't make roster moves. Go to Game Setup -> League Setup, click the Functions tab for the Major League, and click the button 'Set all computer-controlled teams to allow AI roster changes'.
