Ghost players

I'm playing in a fictional league I converted from OOTP 2008 to OOTP 2009. I have ghost players turned off and my Double-A roster has 25 players on it. Yet I just had a game where my Double-A team used two guys named "Joe Unknown" as pinch-hitters while there were real players still on the bench. Anyone know why this might be happening?

Can you post a screenshot of your AA team roster, and if possible the box score of the game in question.

Sorry for the side by side pics. Wasn't sure how to get them to stack. As you can see, the computer inserted two Joe Unknowns even though my backup catcher (Ernie Martin) did not play and the one Joe Unknown pinch hit, then was replaced in the field by a real player.

(The name cut off at the bottom of the roster screenshot is Manuel Martinez, who played right field.)

Nevermind. Turns out I had the wrong option turned off. I had the create and maintain hidden players option off. Sorry for any of your time that was used on this.
