Mac version Again: Game crashes and unable to reload

MacBook Pro 2.33Ghz with 2GB RAM, running Leopard latest version.
OOTP9 w/latest patch.

Fictional league created on OOTP9.

After almost 5 seasons, when I tried to save the game in the middle of the season, the game crashed to desktop while saving.

I tried to reload the same game, but this message below shows up, and the game just freezes right there.

This is my 5th time in just several days to see my league becomes..., total waste of time.

I know it is still early to determine anything about the game, but this version (Mac version) is the most unstable one I have seen so far, almost to the level of unplayable. I do not think it is only me who feels that way, as you could see lots of Mac related posts saying "Can't load", "Can't Save" here and there.

It is a shame, because the game itself is great, way better than the previous versions IMO. The sim speed of Mac version is amazing, and I love the new features a lot. However, I really think a lot of fundamental improvement regarding Mac version should be made in the next patch.

The release of the next patch (and possibly the last patch) is, as far as I know, scheduled in the mid July, and there is not much time left. It would be nice to at least hear the words like "Yes, the Mac version has a lot to improve. We are aware of it, and we will try our best to fix these."

I'm sorry, but anything that crashes while in the process of saving is likely damaged beyond repair. Do you possibly have any backups saved?

Do you know of anything that might have triggered the crash in the first place? Have you had the game crash while saving more than once?

No back up of the league, but it does not matter anymore, Nutlaw.
I kind of saw it coming....

I have no idea what might have triggered the crash, but I assume it has to have something to do with the FaceGen, right? (It says "Can not load the Face files" when I tried to reload the game)

I have had the game crash while saving before, yes.
I actually reported the issue here, and took it down, as I assumed (at that point) it would be not major or anything.
