MVP/Rookie awards awarded in the middle of the year

My game crashed once on 2012 February when I was toggling my lineups.
I didn't think too much about it, restarted the game, waited for the looooong loading time that stuck at 100% for at least 2 minutes.

I kept simming the game til August and I noticed something weird on the league news log, so I stopped the simulation and checked the league news log.

Here it is. Notice on what happened on August 1st.

I'm sure everything was fine before the crash (I don't know whether the crash has something to do with it or not, but I think you guys may want to know about it). From 2008-2011, the awards were announced after the World Series were played.

I checked the game settings and I couldn't find any options that would let me change the date of the award announcement. So must be something wrong with the source code or something.

I checked the league history, just for your reference - and of course, the awards were NOT logged in the history section, since the season isn't over yet.

Might want to log the problem. I'd keep you guys informed if something weird happens in the future.
