Season Start Date Issue

I have been working to set up my universe and may have hit a snag. I mistakenly changed the season start date from April 2nd to May 2nd. I then completed the first day and the inaugural draft. I then saw the incorrect season start date and changed it in the league settings. This now says that the changes will only take effect when re-generating the schedule.

The issue is that I am entering a schedule manually because I have a 30 team league with two sub-leagues of 15 teams. Because I am working with an odd number of teams in each league I cannot have the game generate a schedule and reset the season start date.

How can I get the season start date to reset to the correct April 2nd date and schedule a spring training in March?

HELP!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, not sure, but I think you may be stuck if you don't generate a schedule. I'd suggest making a backup of your league of where it is at the moment, then trying to generate a schedule and see what happens. If it goes bad you can always restore your backup.

You may wish to check the Mods forum for schedule files, because I'm pretty sure there's at least one there was which created for a 30-team league consisting of two 15-team subleagues.

Thanks El Big Naranja. I'll make the backup. I wonder if it will work if I complete the manual entry of the schedule, then export the schedule to a file, clear the schedule out of the game and then re-import it from the file that I will create.

Of course now I am getting an error message when I try to create the backup. The same is true when I have tried to create a template.

Are my 15 team sub-leagues killing my plans???

Quick ping on my secondary question above. I was able to save the game as a template when I moved a team to make the sub-leagues contain even numbers (16-14).

Can anyone confirm if setting up odd numbers of teams in sub-leagues causes errors when doing functions like backing up the game, saving templates, etc?

Does your trouble fall into one of those two areas, you think? Do we need to log something separately?
