BZ 1730: Pitcher Status (Substitution Screen vs. Broadcast Screen)

When I am hitting and go into the substitution screen and click on the pitcher, it tells me that the pitcher has a rest status of 0%. However, when I'm on the broadcast screen, he is "ok" Is that suppose to be like that?

Notice the pitch count on both of them...

I suppose the "rest status" is different than "status". But I'd think they'd be tied together a little bit...

Note: When my guy is pitching and I go to substitution screen, the "rest status" is missing altogether.

Here is a different pitcher where it seems to work properly. Maybe everything is working correctly, it just seems it gets to 0% quite quickly even though he is still just fine to pitch.

I Think the Health Status window is designed for pre-game information regarding whether to play a pitcher in the game. Once in the game you revert to the other (in-game) screen to see how he's doing during the game.

I got faked out by this once with a pitcher who was pitching a no-hitter. I pulled him because that pre-game screen showed him as being exhausted. He really wasn't. Now, I'll never know if he would have pitched a no-hitter.

I usually get a guy warming up when my team is batting. So I'll click on the substitution screen and then the pitcher to see what his status is. I usually look at the percent because I figure that gives me a little better picture than just "OK" does. I wouldn't be against removing it completely...I think it is not meant to be there, but something is keeping it there when your team is batting.

Status applies to whether or not he's injured. It will be either "OK" or "Out" or "Day-to-Day" with some percentage of DTD effectiveness.

That's different from his rest status.

Health Status vs Rest Status; that's about what I thought. Thanks for the info.

Rest Status should be removed from the screen completely during a game then. A guy can be totally exhausted, but still have pitches in him? Makes little sense.

Instead of just looking to define the two, I should have been looking at the heart of your question. Sorry.

I think there might be an issue here, because you shouldn't be able to put a pitcher who is "exhausted" into a game and have it tell you he's OK! He's either too tired to pitch or he's not.
