elicense ootp9

I'm trying to uninstall ootp 9 1.0 so I can do the full install of the new patch. However, when i try to unlicense my ootp via the elicense from the windows control panel the elicense folder wont open when i click it.


any ideas?

First things first. You don't have to unlicense the game before uninstalling. Your original license will still be in place if you just uninstall and then reinstall.

With regard to opening the elicense folder are you running xp? If so there is a patch out from elicense that will correct this issue. I've used it and it works great. I did some searching but didn't find a thread about it here. I believe if you contact elicense tech support they will send a link to the patch you need.

If it makes you feel safer to unlicense ootp9 before uninstalling you can do that from your start menu.

Start>all programs>out of the park developments>OOTP baseball 9>tools>unlicense ootp 9

You can also uninstall the game from the same start menu.

Yes, don't bother uninstalling the license. And, to avoid any issues when you uninstall OOTP I also recommend deleting the OOTP9 folders in program files and my docs (after you move any important files you have there like your .lg's) before reinstalling.

I recently needed to unlicense all my OOTPs on Vista and the help in the last post of this thread did the trick for me.
