OOTP 9 Database Could not save Messages error??

My screen shot is below. I was trying to create a historical league using the internal database. I've had the same problem with other databases. This freezes the game in the sense that when this error comes up I can't hit the Cancel or Help buttons shown. Edit: This is the 9.1.2 Patch.

I use Mac OS X 10.3.9. I have 1 GB Ram. My processor is a 1GHz G4 accelerator, and I had no problems with the 9.0.27 patch. Let me know if you need more info.

Are you having a problem with the saved game that you used last? Could you try loading a different league, then creating this one?

There is no other saved game. Prior to posting I uninstaller OOTP 9 completely (Caches Everything) & then re-installed to take any variable out. This is happening on a completely fresh install of OOTP 9.

I found the problem. Quite silly actually.

I kept giving the file the same name, and I used too many characters. The game was unable to create a league file folder with such a large name, so the files for the league being created got spread out throughout the saved games folder, and the screen shot above is where it "froze". I just did it with a smaller file name and all went well.

My bad. Went a few characters over I guess. What is the max characters, 20?
