Crash after playing out game and attempting to advance the day

This is a follow up to a rant I started in the general forum. Just the facts here:

Game crashes constantly (I'd say about 2/3 to 3/4 of the time) after I play out a game and then attempt to advance the day.

Typically, I will be able to exit the completed game successfully and then even browse around the league, lineups, etc. But when I advance the day, the game crashes.

Yesterday I tried forcing the game to resolve all other league games prior to playing out my game, as an experiment. I had the game "quick play" every game in my league (though not in the minors or feeders). After doing this, I attempted to play out my game. On this occasion - and for the first time that I observed - the game crashed at the initiation of my game. This makes me think the crashes are related to some conflict between the background simming of the other league games and the playing out of mine.

It is a major nuisance and it comes at a bad time (crashes right after you've taken the time to manage out a game). I like to manage one game per week of the team I control and sim the rest.

Thanks.

Had a similar problem and this is what worked for me.

Changed all teams and everything in game setup to computer controlled, simmed a month, took over control of my team again, never happened again.

I think the AI must have cleaned up some rooster issues or some such things.

FYI simming a week didn't help but simming several (a month) did. You may even need to sim as much as the current year as some things only update yearly and if one of those things is the cause of your challenge it will take simming to the next year to get you back on track.

I guess I'm going to have to try that. I've exhausted everything else. Thought I had it beat tonight, tried turning off the simming of games in the background as you play a game out, that seemed to work, but just wasted another 20 minutes of my life managing a game and having the game crash. This really is pathetic.
