New Bug Causes Game To Crash!

I am using patch 9.1.2 and while playing a game the following scenario occurred causing the game to crash:

The pitcher incurred an injury and in the midst of being taken out of the game by the A/I, the game crashed and a box error box opened up and after I hit "debug" the game closed down entirely. I've tried to start the game over again but the computer hangs and the program stops running.

My other games work ok so I'm assuming this particular game closed with the error still encoded in the league file somewhere. This is frustrating because I spent hourse setting up this particular league and would hate to start over.

Has anybody else experienced this "bug?" Will OOTP have a fix soon?

I can't comment on any other aspect of this, except that...

Where is your program hanging upon restart after a crash? Is it "Finalizing" and "100%"?

'Cause if it is, it's not hung. It may take upwards of half an hour or more, but it will eventually recover it's last save.

If it's hanging somewhere else, though...dunno.

Sorry, it was late when I posted my problem:

Its not the computer that is hanging ... it is only that particular game or league.dat file that hangs when I try to open the file. Yes, it goes to 100% but stops there. When I hit Control-Alt-Delete, it says that OOTP has stopped running. I assume this means that the program has either hung up or shut down. I will try opening the file again this evening and let it run while I have dinner ... this should be for at least 45 minutes. If it does not respond properly after this then I will know it is not going to work. As I said, the other games or league.dat files still open and run. So, I am not locked out completely and still have other versions of the game. However, how do I know that this bug is not waiting to snap up and bite me again later?

I downloaded and installed the new patch. Started up the game (league.dat) file and went to have dinner. When I returned the game OPENED up BUT all the stats were erased and game the game day was reset retroactively back to opening day.

I could have done this myself. So, my data has been lost. Hopefully, the new patch will keep the bugs out of our bats.

Yeah, sorry. Previously damaged leagues are likely irreparable. If you run into any further crashing, please let us know by posting in Tech Support.
