teams with very small rosters

In my game (now in 2009), some teams had the following roster sizes;

Pittsburgh: 19
NY Mets: 19
Texas: 13
Red Sox: 19

So apparently the max roster size for other teams is 19 (!), and some teams don't have that many.

Any ideas what is causing this? It isn't for a lack of players in the database--minor leagues are full!

this is using 9.1.5, with a game started in 9.0.0

Yeah, ive seen this when the computer either doesn't have a GM or for some reason just stops working. Switch to commish mode and force their GM to act. Edited to add: This is a COmputer GM, I think my prior wording might have implied a human, but I am saying Computer GMs.

Is this happening during the regular season or during the off-season?

I noticed it during the next regular season, and I'm playing this game with 40 man rosters off..

or to put it another way..TB had a ten game lead in the division when we had the problem with the crashes in June--that was too good of a season NOT to keep playing *laughs*

Yeah, I'm not so worried about the 40-man rosters part. I'm more worried about the AI being allowed to make roster moves. Is the AI signing players and making any promotions or demotions at all?

"6. From the functions button at the bottom of the screen, choose "Set all Computer Controlled Teams to allow AI Roster Changes""

It was a default setting that came with one version of the MLB rosters. If you do a full reinstall of a current version of OOTP 9, future MLB games that you start up won't have that problem.

Is there anything else that I can help you with?
