game hangs when loading league

I started a fictional league with the first version of OOTP 9. I'm 3 years into it and won my first WS. I've had played it at least twice with the 9.1.2 update with np.

My most recent activity was off-season stuff. The last time I played it was about 1 week ago. Tonight I tried to load that league and the game hung. It always hangs at the very last part of database load - Finalizing. I was able kill the task and restart. After restart I loaded a different league and all was ok. Tried to load my fictional league and once again hung the process. I really want to be able to play this league though.

Suggestions?

Did it crash at some point? I worry that the league files have become damaged.

Have you tried disabling FaceGen and loading up the league?

Actually, I've found the league eventually completes load. After about 4 1/2 minutes it actually does load. Guess it's due to all the data retrieved?

Hrm. I guess so. Does it take that long every time?

How much RAM does your computer have? How many teams and leagues do you have active in your saved game universe?

2 gig of RAM. I'm running a MLB only league (with full-stocked minors of course).

MLB? I thought that you were running a fictional league? How many years of history do you have included?
