Database:load_database - could not load nations file

When I load up one of my online league files, 1/4 into the loading process this pops up.

"Database:load_database - could not load nations file"

And you press okay, and this is the following pop up.

"The loading of the database failed. It is either corrupt or a save-gave from an old version"

I can't load the game. I only have a Nation2 file in my saved folder. The commish and others have tried to send me this file to replace it but it still won't work. I've tried just making it Nations.dat instead but that doesn't work. The original league file works but if I DL the latest version, it doesn't work for me. I also tried using the original file and loading online league from in-game. That doesn't work either.

Can anyone help?

Moving this thread to Technical Support.

As this is an online league file, could you download the full league file from the site again and see if that works and whether it still works after an update - it sounds like there is a corruption in the download of the update.

If so, I'll download the league file and try an update from within the game.

This happens to me when I download the quickstart NABA file?

No idea why. However I'm very new to solo play.

Try deleting the file, maybe that works here... it is a very strange error message.

It's not the GFBL, that is a league that was way old. It's vMLB. The league file works for other owners but just not for me. I've deleted the file, re-extracted it and everything as well...

I fixed the issue by uninstalling and re-installing the game.
