BZ 1828: Suspended player-plays the next day?

Just received the emails that a player of mine was suspended 2 games for fighting. May 13.
Quick-Play May 14 and he's in the lineup and starting.
I did nothing to the lineup figuring the AI would ignore the player and start/play someone else.

This is using version 9.1.2?

Was the player held out of the lineup the next two days?

Note the dates in my original post. Notified May 13, played May 14. 9.1.2 version.

Huh. Well, that's odd. In the transaction screen or in his player profile, is there any mention of him being suspended?

You're playing with a default schedule, so you weren't in spring training or in the playoffs or anything, right?

Can you double-check the news story to make sure that it was the player who you are thinking of? Can you check the box score from that game to see if he was suspended, and not another player in the game? Maybe the message listed the wrong player?

Right guy. Player history page lists the suspension. Boxscore says ejected for arguing balls and strikes. No news story in major league news page.

League4 is filename. Player in question is Mike Daniel of Washington Nationals. Date is 5/13/2011 (present season) of suspension. Also check put Ryan Zimmerman, same team, 8/1/2011 suspension, plays next day.
