BZ 1841: Crash when loading game
I am getting a "ootp9.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." error when trying to load a saved game. It gets to 94% where it says checking database and then errors out. I don't know what could be wrong as the last time I played the game I saved and closed it out and thought everything was fine. I then installed the newest update and still the same issue. I sent the saved game to a friend of mine and he said it said something about the nations file. I am using a roster set I imported form ootp8.

I know this isn't the easiest question to answer, but is there anything fundamentally different about this saved league and the others that do load?
In other words, is it an MLB roster quick-start and they're not? Was it created under 9.1.2 and they weren't? Was it imported from a previous OOTP and they were not? I know you gave some of that info about the problem-child, but what I am asking is how that compares to the other non-problem leagues.

And just to be clear, sorry, those issues are still, when it tries to load "It gets to 94% where it says checking database and then errors out?" It's always at that moment?

Had you made any change to the nations file, or customized any names files?

I don't think that'd be a bad idea. Can you follow the directions in the sticky that says How to FTP files to us, please?
