Backspace function lags or doesn't work at all.

I recently upgraded from OOTP 8 and the first thing I noticed was the very handy 'Backspace' function (Taking you to the last screen viewed) either seriously lags or fails to operate at all. Sometimes after hitting the backspace two or three times it will work, but many times it will not work at all. Even when it works it is very slow. Interestingly if the backspace doesn't work I can go up to the menu and click on anything with my mouse and then the backspace works. (albeit still remarkably slower than in OOTP8)

Both of my computers do this, my deskptop and my laptop.

Which operating system are you using and which version of OOTP9, please?
