Deleting Leagues

When you delete a league is there anyway to have it removed from the BNN Homepage. I want to start a league with few leagues and I dont want all that crap on the page. Is there a way to remove the deleted leagues off the homepage?

Not without doing some unusual editing of your files. The history of a league is retained once it makes it past league creation.

can anyone tell me how? I was trying to shrink the minor league systems to add NCAA and HS Feeder league while trying to keep the league file to a minimum. Can someone please tell me how to do this...

It might not be possible to do this the way you want if you are using the 08 roster sets. If you start a new game with the fictional MLB setup you should be able to get the leagues set up before the game reaches 1/1 and then they wouldn't appear in history.

if i create a league from scratch but how would I get all the MLB Teams and players into the league and have the players on the correct teams. I am looking to have a league structure like this:

ML
AAA
AA
A
SA
RL
NCAA Feeder
HS Feeder

makes the file smaller for an online league.

It is something I have tried to do before with limited success, due to the slightly idiosyncratic database structure.

Deleting the leagues is no problem from what I remember - the issues arise from deleting the links to other files. There will be teams associated with the deleted leagues so they need to go, but the problem here is that although teams have a team_id which is stored in the database, the actual team_id that gets used is based on it's position in the file. If you decode teams.dat you'll find team_id 1 first, then team_id 2 second, etc, so this isn't a problem until you delete some teams for good (that's why the game doesn't do it like that).

I've tried to go through all the files and re-order the teams so that only the existing ones are there and are numbered from 1 upwards and alter all the other files to that extent but that still didn't work.

I've made countless suggestions about tidying this whole area up but to no avail.

I am not looking to delete the teams as I moved the teams into either the AAA League, AA League, A League or R League. I am just looking to get ride of the leagues as I have removed all the teams from the leagues. Just trying to make a smaller file for an online league. Anyone else have an ideas...

I don't think that it is possible. I also don't think that having history of a few extra minor leagues for a short period of time will adversely affect your file sizes.
