Online league GM names

I'm the commish of an online league. We're using OOTP 9.16 (as far as I know everyone is on this version and patch). For some reason names of the GMs that I enter into the game are being "forgotten" by the game when it exports. In some cases it forgets the last name of the person. In some cases it's the first name. In one case it was both names. And in a case you'll see in this image, the name "Guest GM" that I put in became "Guest Kirkbride". Any idea why this is happening?

I fixed every name in this league 3 days ago when this issue was first reported, and I'm already getting reports from GMs that you see in that image who are not seeing the names when they download the league file.

That's odd. Did you do any editing of your .dat files? Did you do any additions or subtractions from your name files? Is this a converted league from a previous version of OOTP? Are you seeing this behavior with players in the game, not just GMs?

1: I wouldn't even know how to edit .dat files.

2: Haven't touched the name files. 3: The league was started using this version of OOTP 2 weeks ago. 4: I'm not seeing it with players.

And it gets stranger. That "Guest Kirkbride" that was supposed to be "Guest GM" you see in that screenshot I posted miracleously changed itself back to "Guest GM" this morning.

Try this in this exact order...

1. Import teams
2. Delete all team exports from the server
3. Edit the GM names in question to what they should be
4. Run the sim
5. Create league files and upload

Maybe what has happened is some GM's had exported from a league file that had their name incorrect. even though you corrected in your game, importing the teams in question, reversed what you did. Deleting the team exports from the server after import should solve the problem.

If it doesn't work, follow the same order one more time and ask that all GM's delete their league files and download a fresh, updated league file.
