OOTP Baseball 9 has stopped working

Hey I'm extremely excited to try this game/sim out but I just dloaded it and installed it with Vista OS and it instantly shuts down saying OOTP Baseball has stopped working. I have also tried running as admin with the same problems. Thanks for any help in advance.

How much RAM do you have and how much available hard drive space?

2gb of ram and 40gb of free hard drive space. nvidia geforce 8800gt graphic card.

Have you tried temporarily disabling your anti-virus program to get the game started up?

Were you ever even able to enter your product code to prove that you purchased the game?

Did you try running the program after installing and restarting your computer?
