BZ 1936: Options and Ballpark Crash

I imported my OOTP8.0.0.14 solo league over to OOTP9.1.6 recently and am trying to add international leagues to my universe.

Currently, the league worked fine with MLB (and minors), Japan, Cuba, NCAA and HS leagues in it. After converting, every time i try to access "options and ballparks", it crahses. The original leagues from OOTP8 and the new ones from OOTP9 suffer the same fate.

I am trying to add leagues and they enter the universe fine, I can access all the proper set up features.

Similar to this closed thread.

When it does crash, it does not corrupt the file, and I am able to reopen to my last save.

I've tried both to create leagues via the standard leagues (ie, Korean league) and fictional and adding templates and I can recreate this problem every time.

My system specs: Mac OS 10.5.5, 4 GB RAM, 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 22 GB HD.

I tried to uninstall/reinstall the game and have the same issues come up. Any suggestions?

Does this mean that you are crashing on the Options & Ballpark screen regardless of whether accessing it in one of your converted leagues or accessing it from a game newly created in OOTP9?

From the linked thread: What happens if, before you start playing a game, you edit a team's lineup then go back to the main/options tab?

It seems that anything that is imported over from OOTP8 becomes unstable under the 'options and ballparks' tab. If I create a new game under OOTP9, it works fine.

As for the OOTP8 league, I can do everything else, make roster changes, advance free agency, add leagues, etc... except, when i try to access the 'options and ballparks' tab, it crashes no matter what point in the season I am at. I tried creating a new manager in commish mode and got the same problem.

The converted league doesn't have this issue pre-conversion, though? It won't crash on that screen in OOTP 8?

This issue has been claimed fixed for the upcoming patch (post 9.1.6). If after installing it you still see this behavior, please post in Tech Support. Thanks.

Presumably, you'd have to convert the game again to make the fix work, but I'm not sure.
