Crashing When Viewing/Generating Player HTML Pages

Every time I try to generate reports or view a player HTML page in game, OOTP crashes to the desktop. This just started happening recently. Any ideas?

In any league on your computer, or just this one:

I will need the league files and login info to test this.

League file is here: http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...wers.lg.tar.gz

Password was sent via pm.

That league is the only league with this issue on my PC. Markus replaced the world.dat file to fix the other issue but this started happening around the same time as the other issue did. This league file is pretty screwed up it seems.

So we will need the folder /news/txt from your league for further testing I fear...

I'm all set. I found a backup that works before all this corruption happened. Both issues (schedule and generating reports) work in my new copy. Thanks for the help guys.

If you want, I can provide the entire corrupted league so you can take a closer look and try to determine what happened.

Yes, please upload the entire league folder (if possible). (Out of the news/html folder we do only need the gamelogs and boxscores folders.)

Glad that it works again!

It's always difficult to fix damaged .dat files. And to be honest very often it's just impossible. Making frequent backups is the best way to prevent these problems!

Yeah I backup before every sim thankfully. The difficulty in this case was that I didn't notice this until 4 or 5 sims after it happened. Was just a matter of figuring out which backup to restore. I let you know when the league file is available.

I think that this one is all settled, so I'll close it up. If you have any further need for assistance, please post in Tech Support.
