Transferring License from PC to Mac
Hello,
Well, I purchased OOTP9 back in June. Since then, the computer I was using has been replaced by a new MacBook. So, I was wondering how I could transfer my license from the PC (which I don't have anymore, but I do have the email with my purchase and license code) over to the Mac version. Is this even possible? If so, how do I get a Mac license? I try to use the code from the PC version and obviously that doesn't work. Please advise. Regards, Db |

PC & Mac license are not compatible. If you buy a PC license, you can only use it on a PC. You have to purchase a Mac license in order to run OOTP on a Mac.

I didn't figure they were compatible...I was just wondering if the company supported transferring and issuing a new license for circumstances such as these. I guess I'll just run it in bootcamp then. They aren't getting money TWICE for the same game.

I'm pretty sure I read around here somewhere that they are moving to cross-platform licensing for OOTP10, thanks to the development of the Linux platform.
Not that it helps you currently, but just so you know the next time around you'll be all set. Bootcamp + Fusion is great! (Although I try to open Windows as infrequently as possible. It makes me cry when I hear that stupid Windows start-up song playing through my beautiful iMac's speakers) |

Haha...yeah, I'm in the same position. But to save another 40 bucks, I'll deal with the Windows startup. I mean, it's not about the money, it's the principal of the thing. I'll be happy with OOTP10 if they cross platform the licensing.
