I thought this only happened the one time against my team, but I looked and found out the player in question was OUT for 2-3 weeks(not day-to-day) and was injured on 5/29. In the 4 games since then he had started every game in CF, but as soon as he came to bat he was PH for, including once where they were the away team and he was leading off the game. I can just see the announcer:
"And pinch hitting to lead off the game is...." Obviously this should not be happening, as the AI has plenty of other players to choose from(at least 8 other hitters on the bench). I am playing in triple A right now, so there is no disabled list for him to go on, and I am not sure why the 7 day starting list would have an effect here since I am not controlling this team. I only noticed it because I saw a PH listed for a player in the 2nd inning and I thought it was pretty strange, then I noticed he was injured for 2-3 weeks, and then noticed this had happened in the previous 4 games as well... |

I've never seen the AI start an injured player before, and I know you can't do it if you're controlling the team. Did the team in question have a lack of available players?

no....they have at least 8 batters...besides, how could they PH for him in the first place as soon as he comes up to the plate if they had noone to put in?
