Hmmm... that's not getting any further. Does seem to imply it is to do with graphics.

I've asked Andreas if he can have a look at this thread as he'll know what is happening at each point the log is written.

Just out of interest, the following directory does exist on your machine?

C:\Documents and Settings\Katherine\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 9\database

Not to get off track, but the game does not go full-screen like my other games, it tries to open a maximized window.
To give you an idea about other games I use for graphic considerations - 1602 AD, Railroad Tycoon 2

I'm not sure where this folder is in XP, but in Vista it's under <User Name>/App Data - it might be C:\Users\<User Name>\App Data

find Roaming \ Out of the Park Developments \ OOTP Baseball 9 \ config

and in there is a file called app - double click this and open it with notepad or wordpad. About four options down is FULLSCREEN - change the 0 below it to 1 and save the file, and try and start the game again.

Same thing, no full screen. I checked to see if the setting was saved, and it was back to zero. So, I change it to 1 save it, check it again before loading, it's still 1, check it after loading and crashing and it's back to 0. LOG

In that same file, can you find crashed_on_startup and set it to 0
and then set disable_facegen to 1

Interesting...
When I launched in tracemode, the crash window comes up without an OOTP Window behind it. On my Taskbar, next to start, the Baseball 9 Icon appears but the tab and title never materialize. Follow me?

I'm getting that switching these functions off, may take it easier on my video card? I just got off the phone with That Computer Shop.net, local business. He said I cannot upgrade my AGP (non PCI-express) videocard. Gotta go with a whole new machine.

Shouldn't need a new machine, but something is clearly amiss with the graphics. AGP isn't an old interface.

Hey, is there a way I could have you connect directly with my computer and you could check things out? I think it's like a CMD ipconfig address or something?
