Staff Payroll Bug

Using CF2009_v3 roster set there is a bug in the coaching payroll - the total shown on the Front Office screen is about $10m more than the actual (manually adding salaries for all coaching staff from MLB to Rookie League). This could be a problem with the roster set, but given that there do not seem to be any editable financials relevant to this I suspect that it is in fact a bug with the game engine in calculating the payroll.

Can someone please log this as a bug in the hope that it gets fixed for OOTP10.

PS It does not relate to expenses already incurred because of released coaches.

To verify, are you using version 9.2.13?

Do you have scouting enabled? Could those expenses be related?

Also, this thread mentions serious issues with the managers in CubbyFan's roster set. If you don't see this behavior in other leagues, I'd have to think that it is related to his set:

Yes the latest patch 9.2.13.

The problem appears in BOTH these situations:

1) coaching and scouting on.

2) coaching on and scouting off.

Obviously it does not appear when coaching is off.

I have posted in the CubbyFan roster thread but received no response.

I have no other leagues where coaching is on so as far as I am aware this could apply to every league where coaching is turned on. Perhaps someone could test with a different roster set.

I just created a new league using the MLB quickstart and the issue is not there so maybe this is just a CF2009_v3.0 issue.

However, as I understand it OOTP10 (or OOTPX) will ship with the MLB rosters from CubbyFan so it would make sense to get this fixed. As I have said I have posted the issue in the CubbyFan rosters thread but received no response.

Well, I know that he is aware of the issue. He has posted in Tech Support before to state that coaches ought to be disabled until they can figure out the issue, as per my link above.

I'm going to close this one out. If someone finds an issue outside of using CubbyFan's roster set, please post in Tech Support.
