Conversion from OOTP 8

My league is nearing the off-season and are planning to convert. I'm wondering what issues other commish's have seen with conversion. Any game breakers? Any suggestions on timing to convert? Anything else to be aware of?

Thanks in advance.

Our league is in the same boat. We're planning to migrate to OOTP 9 during this upcoming off-season and I'm pondering the best time to do it. I had considered making the move immediately upon the conclusion of the playoffs, but I wasn't sure if that was such a great idea what with free agency coming up and all. Plus we have some AI leagues that are still playing at that time. All things considered, I'm leaning towards making the move in late January/early February, just before our main league hits the pre-season. Seems like it would be a relatively safe time to migrate over.

We're also in that boat. I'm torn between jumping on OOTP9 as soon as the playoffs end and waiting until January. I really, really would like to use the new Draft Lists feature for the Rule 5, but we also may have a few stragglers who haven't bought OOTP9, yet, and so my workload will be increased from having to handle them outside the game.

Beings will most definitely come." - Gladden Field of Dreams

I recently converted the league I am commishing for and other than letting you know to be patient while the conversion is taking place (especially if you're league has a long history like this one), everything has looked very good upon conversion. I believe the online manual suggests converting at the start of the off-season, but I did during January in our game (and had no problems that I can see).
