Question
This may sound stupid....How do you go about creating the download for the league file (for first time use)? I know they can download it through game but just need to know how to do the first one. Should this be in the export folder?

Using the game, create the files and archive them. Then upload them to a directory on your server. In many cases the folder is "/lgexports". In this case all you have to do is post the link to it for your league members to get such as: yoursite.com/lgexports/yourleague.lg.tar.gz
Then, they download and extract into their saved_games folder.

I have no problem getting web pages because I manually upload them from the sbl.lg/news/html folder using filezilla. Every time I go to create archive and upload it. It uploads it with this name, "SBL.lg_reports.tar." Is that correct? as it always uploads it into the public_html/exports on my website. To me it looks like a zip file of my html reports for webpage.
Also how do you go about updating the file for everyone to download through the game?

its my first attempt at creating a online league. So I have no clue how to make the file for other gms to download for the first time or even to update it. As I know how to modify the league files as I have modified CBL Cardinals roster set. Added a RL with real teams except for uniforms and colors to match the team. However they have the correct logo, weather, city and state. As Ballpark name and location are fake. I just wanted a smaller file so I have all minor league levels with 1 team per MLB Team, so there is 30 teams in every league (MLB, AAA, AA, A, and RL)

Don't upload the league file in game, upload it using FileZilla. Put it in whatever folder you want when you upload it, just make sure you have a link to that folder to have people download it.
So I would create a folder called /lgexports like montoya said and then have the link yoursite.com/lgexports/yourleague.lg.tar.gz

i didnt upload it though the game...i just created it. The file after the game created it was "SBL.lg_reports.tar.gz". Then I upload it into my exports folder and it became the link below. Dont think it works correctly
http://www.sandlot.oxyrack.com/expor...reports.tar.gz

In the game, go to Game, Game Setup. Then click the Online Options tab on the right. On that page, be sure to check "Enable Online League Mode". Then a set of options will appear on the right, one of which says "Upload League Files". Click that and the rest should be easy if you follow what we wrote in the above posts.

For an initial league file to give to owners, I'd archive the whole league folder and make it available. It's called Yourleague.lg (whatever league name is) in your saved_games folder.
When you make the "league file" it will be in this folder. |

Thanks....I figured it out. One other thing....is there a way to import a roster set into a league file so that all players in that league file will be real players?
