CSV Exports

I am starting an online league for some friends and I to play. Our problem is that when they look at the players eligible for our initial draft, it only (for batters) shows their hitting talents. What they want is to be able to check out defense, baserunning, etc, by sorting with excel instead of having to click on the players individually. When I try to export the csv files so we can set this up, the exports I get in the saved games import/export folder have all players in MLB history, not just the players currently in the league.

If anyone could tell me how to do this, what I am doing incorrectly, or anything else that would help we would be very thankful.

You may want to import them into access instead of excel to manipulate the information and then from there, export out to Excel.

The players.csv contains a field that shows if the player is an active player or retired.

The other problem is that 2003 version of Excel (not 2007) and Google's Excel can only load in 65,000 lines, so if there are more players than that, you would not see them.

If you are use to using Access, you can create lookups to get the players names and the other ratings, even some 'hidden' ratings.

I am working on a new program that makes it easier to see the ratings and will eventually export them out to Excel, but it is still a month or so from going public.
