On the same note, while not purporting any cause and effect, thought I'd examine one step closer the situation in Maryland where Moore, the only reliever to surface in that top 15, was compiling his saves. Before looking at individual boxscores - which I still may - I looked at the recent installation of the latest 6.5b into the game, which by my record in this league was on or about the 10th of July, roughly a month of game-time ago. Again, haven't run any tests to determine any more than this simple eye-catching record.

Williams is the designated closer, Moore I've already told you about. Look at what happens in their game-by-games coinciding with the recent patch. Per chance a coincidence. Interesting nonetheless:

On some additional inspection, this is a game from 07/05 presumably prior to the patch installation. Can I get a couple extra sets of eyes to examine both the log and the boxscore and provide your take on 1) maybe why the final pitchers were used in the order they were and/or 2) why Moore was credited with a save in this instance. I may very well be I'm missing the criteria. The good news is, for whatever reason, it's not happening in Maryland anymore.

full Offseason Mode because I want to control the marlins and trade all their Players and Pitchers that have a Salary meaning the start date will be like 11-24-05 and continue all year round or better yet sim 365 days a year and not skipping a date beacuse I can't wait for the new version to come out with this!

I don't understand? Can't you do that anyway? What's the difference between trading players in January and trading them in November?

We can only sim one day at a time after the World Series is over,the Players and Pitchers who are to become a free-agent are still on their existing teams,can't go past December 31,Trades don't happen,some existing Free-Agents might sign and so on! If you proceed to next season when it gets to next season you can change the league start date to 1-1 but not to the date right after the world series ends because it's a new year and it would give you an error!

I am lost! Why do you want to do this. Anything you can do in November you can do in January..... game needs to start a refresh somewhere, why not January....

I would like no skipping dates before version 7 comes out!
The Offseason starts 15 days after the World Series ends not 1-1 or 3/31 or on opening day!

I don't know, that's interesting. It looks like they're being used in exact opposite roles. Moore was credited with the save because he got the final 3 outs, but my question is why would the AI bring Williams in as a set-up man if indeed he is set as the closer?

Whatever you wanted to do with the Marlins in November, you can do in January.

I couldn't understand the point you made about "wanting to trade all the players with salaries." What does that mean??? Every player on the 25 man roster has a salary. So you want trade the entire Marlins 25 man roster in November??

No I don't! In real life the Marlins are trading Players and Pitchers with a Salary!
You may be correct but the game needs a point at which to process free agents and change the status of contracts, meaning roll them into the next year of their contracts that would be 15 days after the Wold Series ends. It also helps to separate transactions by season. It will do it but won't stay in the current year after the World Series ends so we can start the Offseason in the current year not next year because that season hasen't started yet! The new game will have it but it won't becoming out any time soon!

Why doesn't OOTP6.5beta work with OOTP6.5a in online leagues? Seems odd that it works with OOTP6.12 but not 6.5a. Perhaps Markus overlooked this?
